John van der Woude (the Boss)

A waterman from way back, his first play ground was the west Ulverstone beach in the early 50's. Started the business the hard way building kayaks in 1975 in the family's old bakehouse before starting Canoe 'N' Surf. Loves the sea, watersports and serving customers.
John is involved in many watersports and stills keeps fit to surf, paddle, swim and dive. A lifelong association with surf life saving has been rewarding as well as establishing the West Coast surfing Classic in 1976, which he ran for 9 years, and which has become the states premier event. His paddling experience is carved upon 37 continuous years competing in the Mercury Surf safari.John is currently engaged in expanding the other side of his business Penguin Composites. Rebecca van der Woude (the Bosses Boss)

Rebecca is the driving force in keeping the shop organised and the stock fresh with great variety. She is the main buyer and she's got a great eye for the best fashions around.
Rebecca controls John,the staff and the scooter kids.
just keep on her good side !

Anneke van der Woude

Anneke is the bosses' daughter and is the out there fashion guru. Loves the work and is doing the buying with Rebecca. Like mother like daughter.

Oliver

Oliver has complete Certificate 2 in Retail assistance and his PADI scuba course. So if Matts not around this is the man your after for anything to do with dive gear!
Oliver loves scooters and keeps the skating gear up to stock.. Oliver can help you with anything to do with anything in the shop!

Michael

Michael is under going his certificate 2 in retail assistance and is keen surfer. He is in charge of keeping the surf gear under control. If you need a new board he's the guy to see!

Matt

Matt is our Scuba Diving Instructor.This year he has attained his coswains certificate, put through heaps of students doing open water, advanced courses and nitrox courses. He will have the winter off diving, and work at penguin composites. But when the water warms back up you should still find him floating around the shop from time to time.

Wendy

Our stock control officer! Wendy is backing up Rebecca putting the stock on the computer, pricing and meeting all those delivery boys with all the goodies they bring.
